RY3T ONE
The RY3T ONE combines Bitcoin mining with efficient use of heat at home: energy is used twice—both for computing power and as usable waste heat in the heating system. This creates digital value while simultaneously providing heat for the home and hot water.
The RY3T ONE uses local energy sources, for example from a PV system (photovoltaics), and feeds the resulting waste heat into existing heating circuits. This makes the solution an economically and ecologically sound addition to traditional heating systems—ideal for energy-optimized households and smart-home setups.
Aupa’s scope covered automation and software integration: from adjusting computing power and temperature-controlled regulation through to an app for monitoring the system as well as Bitcoin performance (yield, status, and metrics).
Implementation
Assessment: In an initial discussion, goals, integration into the existing heating and thermal system, and security requirements were defined—as the basis for safe and efficient operation.
Prototyping: Development of a software prototype for dynamic control of computing power (Bitcoin mining) and regulation of heat output into the heating system.
Review & Tests: Presentation of the prototype, tests in live operation, structured bug logging, and iterations until a stable, everyday-ready solution was achieved.
Final Testing: Comprehensive validation of security functions, sensors, control loops, and operational stability.
Handover: The final software was documented, handed over, and seamlessly integrated into product operations.
Timeframe: 12 months
Result
